Edited book published

International contributions about the topic of the project have been collected and published by Heike Kahlert in an edited book under the title “Gender Studies and the New Academic Governance” in 2018 with Springer VS. More information can be found here.

Call for papers book project

In the light of the new governance of science the potential for innovation in gender studies and gender research is highly appreciated. For an international book publication, we are looking for articles which analyze the meaning of gender studies and gender research in higher education and science, public research funding, career opportunities and strategies for new generations of scientists as well as in the dialogue between academia and social practice.

Abstracts are invited by April 11th, 2016.

Conference, September 21-22, 2015

The final conference of the project with experts from science and politics took place on September 21-22, 2015, at the Ruhr-University Bochum.

Wanted: Interviewees!

For interviews about careers of the next generation of gender studies scholars we are looking for doctoral students and postdoctoral candidates. The doctoral students should be in the stage of finishing their dissertations, the postdoctoral candidates should have finished their dissertation at least four years ago.
